2009 review/2010 Race season preview part 1

It's been a long time since I've updated this, so here it goes:

The last 2 cyclocross races of '09 went well. The state championship race in Tulsa was on 11/21. The race course was probably the best I've ever done to date. Cool setting, some good technical sections, some short steep climbs, and some long dirt/gravel power sections. I raced the masters class, holeshoted and had a good lead for the first lap, blew up a little and contemplated quitting in 4th place, but I just kept plugging away and ended up getting 3rd.
So after the race in Tulsa, my training/race season was done. I took the next few weeks off from doing any hard riding or structured training.

There was 1 more CX race in mid December at the kids lake park. Normally I wouldn't have done the race, but since it was right down the road from my house, I couldn't pass it up. The weather was nice and I felt pretty good the whole race. Mixed it up with some guys on the 1st lap then attacked and ended up getting the win. Last race with Foss1l ?
Somewhere around mid 2009, the idea of starting a local cat 2 race team was getting tossed around. A possible team merger or a new team altogether. In the end, my teamate Jeremy and I joined Team Undiscovered. We've got a good group of 5 cat 2's plus some strong cat 3's, and a super fast womens squad.

Our new team bike: Storck Absolutist 1.0 I've got a few rides on it. Got in 76 yesterday and the bike felt good.

Our new kits are pretty out there. The crazy looking shoe covers match the shorts
